Half-hearted faith doesn’t stay half-hearted forever. The Father loves the branch enough to prune what will not bear fruit — lukewarm drift, a double mind, the weary loop of running in place — so the Spirit can grow something living in its place. Gardeners Blade walks that cut: from the blade’s honest wound, through surrender and quiet trust, into joy that counts the cost, oil on the fire, a yielded heart, and fruit that finally grows. You still have to move. He still holds the knife. And what He cuts away is never meant to be the end of the story.
John 15:1–2 (ESV): "I am the true vine, and my Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in me that does not bear fruit he takes away, and every branch that does bear fruit he prunes, that it may bear more fruit."
Hebrews 12:11 (ESV): "For the moment all discipline seems painful rather than pleasant, but later it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it."
Galatians 5:22–23a (ESV): "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control…"
