Idols always advertise peace and deliver thirst. We buy what they sell, stack gold that turns to dust, chase wind with a cup that never stays full—and call the restlessness “normal.” The hurt stays untouched because the heart keeps looking sideways for what only heaven can give.
God’s word cuts through the noise: Seek My face. Not a vibe, not a better brand of dust—His presence. When the eyes fix on Him, idols crack, dry bones live, and dust turns into life by grace. Seeking His face is repentance with a direction: away from empty promises, toward the One who washes clean and makes new.
Associated Scripture
Psalm 27:8: "You have said, “Seek my face.” My heart says to you, “Your face, Lord, do I seek.”"
Jeremiah 29:13: "You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart."
Suno Style Prompt: vocal forward, indie pop, unhurried quiet steady pulse opening into a driving bridge and full-band crescendo, fingerpicked acoustic guitar that gently swell into the climax
Lyrics
[Verse 1]
Chasing wind
Drinking from a cup
Still coming back thirsty
Buy what they sell
Look for the peace
This world can't give
All the gold
Turns to dust fast
We keep stacking it up
Dust on the floor
Names in the dark
Can't touch the hurt
Broken open
Looking for truth
But it's just more hunger
Just a restless road
It never fills the soul
Until we turn to heaven
[Chorus]
When you seek His face
You see
His love washes you clean
And all at once
Dust turns into life
By His grace
[Verse 2]
The world fades out
Nothing here can hold us
Pleasures pass
Leaving us cold
Look around
You can see how lost we are
But in His hands
We are held in light
Mercy covers us
Found in His presence
He makes us new
[Chorus]
When you seek His face
You see
His love washing you clean
And all at once
Dust turns into life
By His grace
[Bridge]
All the noise
Fades out now
Every idol
Starts to crack
We were starving in the desert
Chasing shadows in the dark
Now our eyes are fixed on You
Now the dry bones come alive
Every empty promise shattered
In the glory of Your light!
[Chorus]
When you seek His face
You see
His love washes you clean
And all at once
Dust turns into life
By His grace
[Outro]
By His grace
Life made whole
Turn to Him
