Go Tell the Story

Art for Go Tell the Story

The Story

God’s good news is not a private hobby. When Jesus saves a person, He does not leave them with a secret they can keep locked in a drawer. He gives living hope — a finished cross, an empty tomb — and then He sends that person toward people who still sit in the dark.

The heart idol here is polite silence dressed up as wisdom: staying quiet so we look careful, treating the gospel like comfort food for ourselves while neighbors go hungry for hope. We can hide under the language of "not wanting to push," when what we really want is safety and a clean reputation. That is not humility. It is unbelief that God still uses ordinary mouths.

Grace that heals also sends. Paul asks the hard question for every quiet Christian: how will they believe if no one speaks? Beautiful feet are not special people; they are forgiven people who go. So the call is simple — receive mercy, then open your mouth. Christ is not ashamed of you. Do not be ashamed of Him.

Associated Scripture

Romans 10:14-15 (ESV): "How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, ’How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!’"

Matthew 5:14-16 (ESV): "You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven."

Suno Style Prompt: 1990s synthpop, vocal-forward production with polished digital clarity and restrained tape warmth, rich clear-enunciated baritone lead with subtle doubled chorus, atmospheric pads, melancholic melodic synth, rhythmic electric guitar, tambourine and electronic drums, hypnotic 110 BPM groove, wide stereo synths and gated snare ambience

Lyrics

[Verse 1] Dust on the road, boots on the stone Nobody meant to walk this alone Bread on the table, pull up a chair There's room for every burden you bear Cross was heavy, tomb is bare Living hope in the morning air [Pre-Chorus] Light won't hide beneath a bowl Grace runs deep to heal the soul Hear the good news ringing clear! [Chorus] Go tell the broken! Go tell the blind! The greatest treasure you could ever find! Christ is alive, the debt is done Run to the arms of the loving Son! Yeah, run to the arms of the loving Son! [Verse 2] Corner cafe, middle of town Watching the weary faces look down Words seasoned salty, gentle and true Telling the story that made me new Not by our works, but mercy shown Called by name to be His own [Pre-Chorus] Light won't hide beneath a bowl Grace runs deep to heal the soul Hear the good news ringing clear! [Chorus] Go tell the broken! Go tell the blind! Go tell the broken! Go tell the blind! The greatest treasure you could ever find! Christ is alive, the debt is done Run to the arms of the loving Son! Yeah, run to the arms of the loving Son! [Bridge] How will they hear If nobody goes? They will only know if the mercy flows! How beautiful the feet upon the hill Carrying the promise living still! [Chorus] Go tell the broken! Go tell the blind! Go tell the broken! Go tell the blind! The greatest treasure you could ever find! Christ is alive, the debt is done Run to the arms of the loving Son! Yeah, run to the arms of the loving Son! Living hope! Open doors! Grace is yours forevermore! Amen!
