The Story
Rahab is a gritty outcast with a checkered past, but when she meets the Isrealite spies she knows they are blessed. Recognizing the power of the God of Israel, she risks her life to hide these spies in her home built into the city wall. In return, she bargains for her family's safety. She was told to hang a scarlet cord in her window as a sign of the one who helped them. This story highlights themes of faith over pedigree and acting decisively to stand in the gap for others. Rahab eventually becomes a descendant of the Savior, illustrating that God uses unlikely people to accomplish His plans.
